MVP development scoped to what you need to learn.

Velvy builds MVPs for founders: a 0-to-1 web app with authentication, a real data model, the core user flows, payments, and a production deploy, in 5 to 8 weeks. We scope hard around the one thing the product needs to prove, and build it on a stack that can carry you well past launch.

What we build

Everything a first version needs, and nothing it doesn’t.

01

Authentication and accounts

Sign-up, login, teams or roles if you need them, and the account settings users expect.

02

A data model that lasts

A PostgreSQL schema designed around your domain, so version two extends version one instead of replacing it.

03

The core flows

The handful of screens and actions that deliver the product’s value, built properly rather than mocked.

04

Payments

Stripe checkout or subscriptions wired to your own records, so you can charge from launch day.

05

A basic back office

The admin views you need to support early users, plus event tracking so you can see what people actually do.

06

Production deploy

Hosting on Vercel or Cloudflare, environments, your domain, and error monitoring, live for real users.

How we build it

Cut scope, not corners.

The stack

  • TypeScript
  • React
  • Next.js

  • Supabase

01

Paid discovery

A short scoping phase that turns the idea into user flows, a data model, and a written list of what is in and out of version one.

02

Weekly working builds

A deployed build you can click through every week, so decisions get made on software instead of documents.

03

Launch-ready basics

Auth, payments, email, error monitoring, and backups handled, because they are what break first.

04

Hand off or keep going

Docs, a walkthrough, and a clean repo, whether you hire a team, keep us on, or both.

How to engage

Start with MVP Build.

The MVP Build is this service as a fixed shape: paid discovery up front, then auth, data model, core flows, payments, and deploy.

We start with paid discovery, never an unpaid test project, so the plan rests on your real requirements.

MVP Build

5–8 weeks

A 0-to-1 web app: auth, data model, core flows, payments, and deploy.

Also fits

Fractional engineering

2–3 days a week

After launch, fractional engineering keeps the product moving while you hire.

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly at hello@velvy.ai, or book the intro call below.

What should an MVP include?
The smallest product that tests your riskiest assumption with real users, built well enough that they will actually use it. In practice that usually means accounts, the core workflow, a way to pay if revenue is the question, and very little else. Everything else goes on a list for after launch.
How long does MVP development take?
Our MVP Build runs 5 to 8 weeks, depending mostly on the number of core flows and integrations. Paid discovery at the start fixes the scope in writing, so the timeline rests on a plan rather than a guess.
Can the MVP include AI features?
Yes. If AI is central to the product, we build it in from the start with evals, so you know how well it works. If it is a nice-to-have, we usually leave it until after launch so it does not delay what you need to learn.
Will the code be thrown away later?
It should not need to be. We build on a conventional, typed stack with a real data model, so the MVP becomes the foundation of version two. What usually changes after launch is product decisions, not infrastructure.
Will you do a free test project or spec work first?
No. We start with paid discovery instead. It produces a scoped plan you can use whether or not we build it, and it means the estimate is grounded in real requirements.
